Mr. John A. Gilbert, age 93, of Marietta, passed away July 11, 2011. Mr. Gilbert was of the Baptist faith, and he was preceded in death by his wife of over 63 years, Dora Ruth Gilbert. He is survived by his son, Lamar Gilbert of Marietta, and his daughter, Doris Wortham, of Dallas; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 14 at 11:00 a.m. in Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tom Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Special thanks to Powder Springs Nursing and Rehab for Papa. Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home.;

MARION — Mr. Neely Turner, 80, died Sunday, April 15, 2007 at McLeod
Regional Medical Center after an illness.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 17 at Aynor Church
of God, with Rev. Jerry Love and Rev. Neil Floyd officiating. Burial will
follow in Devotion Gardens Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home of
Mullins.
Mr. Turner was born January 10, 1927 in Marion County, a son of the late
Thomas Lide Turner and the late Zadie Idelle Watson Turner. He retired from the
Shipping Department of Dillon Furniture. He was a US Army veteran. Mr. Turner
attended Aynor Church of God.
Surviving Mr. Turner are:his Wife: Shirley Lewis Turner of Aynor; his
Children: Henry Thomas Turner and his fiance Joyce Coleman of Timmonsville, Bonnie
Turner of Conway and Mary Grace Cook and her husband Wayne of Mullins; 5
Grandchildren: James Coty Gasque, Tiffany Shannon Cook, Jessica Nicole Cook,
Henry Thomas Turner, Jr. and Amy Michelle Turner; 2 Sisters: Sadie Mae Floyd and
her husband Rev. Neil Floyd of Henderson, Tn. and Carrie Harper of
Summerville; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday evening from 7 til 9 P.M. at Cox-Collins
Funeral Home of Mullins.

Brailford (B.W.) Campbell, 90, of Marion, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Campbell was born in Marion County, a son of the late Willie Spencer Campbell and Henerietta Edwards Campbell. He was an active member of the Marion Church of God for 55 years. He retired from the Western Auto after 50 years of service. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by 3 brothers, Ira, Durham and Alvie Campbell and 1 sister Julie Bell Crowley. Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years, Lilly Kate Byrd Campbell; one son Ronnie (Faye) Campbell; one daughter Wendy (Burke) Hoffman; 7 grandchildren Brian (Tammy) Campbell, Ashley (Josh) Springs, Doug Hoffman, Jessica Simmons, Josh Gardner; 6 great grandchildren Hailey and Ashlyn Springs, Chad and Chase Campbell and Corey and Alexis Simmons; and one sister Pearl Whitlow. Visitation will be Friday November 8, 2013 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Marion Church of God. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 2:00pm at the Marion Church of God. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Smith-Collins Funeral Home of Marion.
