!NOTES:Son of Flemming Vance per Findagrave entry. They are confusing William A (c1830/31) with William A. (c1841) who is a son of Flemming, but not the same William who married Mary Eggers.
- It is much more likely he's a son of Lewis Vance and Isabel Davis who did have a son his age with them on the 1840 census. This would explain why he was with William Davis in 1850 as that would be his uncle;
