In a Marion Court Record pertaining to Estate of Phillip Phillips by Zachariah L. Phillips, Adm. It states that Phillip was Adm of William Lewis Decd and still owed the heirs money when he died. Zachariah
paid Prior Lewis and Sister --- Lewis ... which shows they were heirs of William (Sr).

There weren't many Hensleys there in the early years, but I still don't know which family he was part of, or which section of SC he was born in. He was in Jefferson Co., AL in 1844 when he married, and in neighboring Blount Co., AL by 1850 and there for the rest of his life. No other Hensleys in Blount during his time there.;

He had three boys under 10 (born 1800/10), one of whom could be Champion Hensley, but this is highly circumstantial. He and his family could be another state by this time.;
