84757 !NOTES:This Pleasant Turner may be the same person as Silas Turner (sr) of Marlboro and also Fayette Co., GA and Randolph Co., GA. See Silas's 1850 census entry where he is listed as "Pleasant" Turner. Perhaps that's Silas's middle named, used to distinguish him from the slightly younger Silas Turner?

!NAMED-PROBATE:Roll # 772 Samuel Timmons 1826

!CENSUS:1830 x

!CENSUS:1840 x
* Cherokee Co., GA p. 8 Plesant Turner age 50-59 (1780/90) 10120001-102001**
** Not our Pleasant, as this one was still in Cherokee in 1850 age 70 b. VA.
* Dekalb Co., GA p. 52 Pleasant H. Turner age 40-49 (1790/1800) 0011001-000000001**
** Not entirely sure the above is a Turner, but it can be read that way.
* Garrard Co., KY p. 59 Pleasant Turner age 30-39 (1800/10) 010001-111001

!CENSUS:1850 x
* Randolph Co., GA age 70 b NC, next to Lodwick Turner 27 SC, next to William Turner 65 NC and Thomas Turner 65 NC. Promising, considering Lodwick was born in SC ca 1823 and is probably son of one of the three older men listed
* other records show this same Pleasant to be Silas Turner, and younger than 70. Married Elizabeth Barrentine in 1820's in Fayette Co., GA. Listed as Silas on 1840 census in Fayette, Pleasant in 1850 Randolph and Silas again in 1860 Randolph. Is his name "Silas Pleasant" or "Pleasant Silas?" Or is "Pleasant" in 1850 a typo?
* This man, regardless, is from the Marlboro SC area Turners for certain;
Turner, Pleasant (I111763)

84759 !NOTES:Tombstone inscription:
"Rosanna Johnston Stroud Stewart Jackson Died 1877 Charter Member of Head of Tenn Baptist Church"
*Tombstone appears to be old, but certainly not from 1877. My guess is it was probably placed in mid 1900's.

!NOTES:I have not determined who her 2nd husband, Mr. Stewart was. Since I'm also a Stewart descendant, I'm very interested in identifying him.

A clue may be found in Rosannah's 3rd husband Ralph Jackson of Murray Co., GA. He was a close neighbor of Barnabas (Barny) Stewart in 1840 and 1850. Barney was of the same general age as Rosannah's husband, so if, perhaps Barny was her brother in law, it might explain why and how she met Ralph Jackson several counties away from where she had been living in Rabun Co., GA.

Barney seems to have been from Morgan Co., TN (1830), then to Murray Co., GA 1840 and 1850. He died in the 1850's in Murray, leaving widow Susan (1860).

2. Prudence Lewis 20 (c1850) black, wife of Jack Lewis.
3. Prudence Reaves 31 (c1839) black, wife of Zeb Reaves. Still around 1880.
4. Pruda? Williams 4 (c1866) black, d/o Eliza Williams.
5. Prudence Smith 45 (c1825) wife of John G. Smith. Still around 1880.
6. Prudence A. Harrelson 32 (c1838) widow of Hugh G. Harrelson. Still around 1880.
7. Prudence Capps 45 (c1825) wife of John W. Capps. Too old. Still around 1880 (in Horry).
8. Prudence Vandorn Capps 7 (c1863) d/o of above. Still with parents 1880, though listed as "Vandorn" male, 18.

Possibles:
9. Prudence A. Hodges 12 (c1858) twin of ---, d/o Eliza Hodges. Not found in 1880 or 1860.
10. Prudent Huett 35 (c1835) widow of ?. Not found in 1880 or 1860.
