| 84850 | !NOTES:Who is John's father? Census analysis isn't easy since we don't know his exact birth date. I've assumed he was 21 when he married in 1832, so born ca 1811. I could be way off of course. 1820 census shows only one possible candidate. He would be in the under 10 group (1810/1820): 1. Eccles Stroud has one son this age. 1830 census shows the same three potentials. John would be about 19 then, so 15-19 (1810/15): 1. Eccles Stroud has a son 20-29 (1800/1810) which is close, and since he had no matching son in 1820, I believe it's the same one from 1820 who was under 10 then. Based on above analysis it seems Eccles Stroud is the *only* possibility to be John's father. However, since census analysis isn't an exact science, we can't be 100% certain from this alone.; !CENSUS:1810 ? !CENSUS:1820 ? !CENSUS:1830 ? !MARRIAGE BOND:23 Aug 1832 Burke Co., NC John Strowd & Rebecka Garrit Elisha Smith, bm James Reed, JP; !NAMED:20 Jun 1833 Burke Co, NC Estates pg 60-64 Elijah PATTON.
