!NOTES:Birth date:
1800 census aged 16-25 = 1774/1784
1810 census aged 45+ (bef 1765) or 26-44 (1765/1784)
1820 census aged 45+ (bef 1775)
1830 census aged 40-49 (1780/1790)
* The above can't be easily reconciled. If we go with ca 1774/1775, that works for the 1800 and 1820 entries.
* He was a chain bearer on a 1791 survey. I think one had to be at least 14 for that purpose, so that puts his birth at ca 1776/77 which is close to the census estimate;

** It's a natural assumption that the head of household is the oldest man in the family, but not always the case. If this is Isaiah, then he'd be in the 26-44 (1765/84) group most likely. If this is his family, then who are all these extra people? In-laws perhaps?;

My analysis (who each person *might* be)
1m 15-19 (1810/1815) Son?
1m 10-14 (1815/1820) Son? - Perhaps Hezekiah Tanner (1819)
1m 5-9 (1820/1825).. Son? - Perhaps Joseph Tanner (c1824)
1m 0-4 (1825/1830).. Son? - Perhaps William Tanner m 1846
1f 40-49 (1780/1790) Elizabeth (---) Tanner, perhaps widow of Joseph Tanner
1f 20-29 (1800/1810) Daughter?
1f 15-19 (1810/1815) Daughter?
1f 10-14 (1815/1820) Daughter?
* One of last two daughters may be Jane Tanner who married Matthew Haney in 1836. She died before 1838, so we don't have a good idea of her age, though certainly born ca 1820 or earlier (16 and up)
* a few houses from Elisha Weeks whose daughter married Archibald Tanner in the 1820s;

!NOTES:Elizabeth Tanner of 1830 & 1840 Macon *could* be the 2nd wife, and widow of Joseph Tanner. I have no real proof of this, just a few possible reasons:
1. She first appears in Macon in 1830. Some of Joseph's suspected children also were in Macon briefly around this time.
2. The ages of her older children in 1830 are a match for Joseph's from 1820.
3. In 1830 she was three houses from John S. Waters. His nephew Jacob married Emily Tanner, daughter of John.
None of the above really proves the connection though, but it is a starting point.
