Estate consisted of about 1000a ... waters of Smith Swamp and Sister Bay and slaves ... John Coleman left surviving: widow Esther Coleman his children: the orator (Moses Coleman) John Coleman Jr children of deceased son Edwadr Coleman, viz: Washington Coleman, Martha Coleman, John Coleman, Elizabeth Coleman and Susan Coleman. Esther Coleman, widow, died a few weeks after husband. Bill of Revision 7 Mar 1857 Esther Coleman left other heirs, viz Dicey Lewis and Abigail Rice (husband Shadrach Rice per Roll # 39), her children the issue of a former marriage with one Miller (Samuel per Roll # 39) who were not parties of the bill of Moses Coleman. Abigail Rice lives in Alabama and has not been heard from.
